Verde Science, Inc is a former oil and gas company that is now focused on medical cannabis development. Among the areas it delves in are medicinal marijuana research and development, aeroponics technologies, and related technical services. The company intends to enter the Canadian medical marijuana market as well as to introduce aeroponic cultivation to Southern California.
Founded in 2007, Verde Science began as Avro Energy, Inc, an oil and gas property developer and oilfield services provider in the Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas (ArkLaTex) region. In 2012, the Avro Energy became Rango Energy, Inc, and in 2014, it became Verde Science, Inc.
Today, Verde Science trades in the OTC markets under the symbol VRCI. Its market cap is at USD 1.26 M.
The company’s most recent endeavor is its THC Pharmaceutical Development Program. Through this program, Verde will develop custom cannabis-based formulations and delivery methods for cannabis drugs. In alliance with this program are Mumbai’s Institute of Chemical Technology as well as a yet-unnamed pharmaceutical company also based in Mumbai. Verde aims to obtain a marijuana R&D license in Canada, where it will then conduct clinical trials.
Aside from R&D, aeroponics growing services are another offering of Verde Science. The initial site that Verde has serviced is the Sherman Oaks Holistic Oasis, a licensed medical marijuana dispensary in Los Angeles County. For this dispensary, Verde provided design, construction, management, and financing services. Sherman Oaks now serves more than 1,600 patients.
Verde Science, Inc is led by Chairman, President, and CFO Harpeet Singh Sangha and CEO Kenney Berscht. Alongside them is VP of Exploration Craig S. Alford. Verde’s research and development activities also benefit from the scientific leadership of Drs. Prajatka Dandekar Jain and Ratnesh Jain.
